According to the Rand Corporation report entitled “A rapid review of the Greek research and development system” (page 57), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is within the top 25 centers of excellence for the field of computer science among all higher education foundations and research institutes of Greece and across all scientific disciplines. This report aligns with the recent external evaluation of the Department of Informatics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which recognized the department as a center of excellence and as one of the best departments of Greece in the field of Computer Science.
