The paper «A Semiconductor Optical Amplifier Model based on the Transfer Matrix Method» by C. Vagionas, N. Pleros and A. Miliou received the best paper award at the 5th Panhellenic Scientific Student Conference on Informatics, Related Technologies and Applications (Eureka 2011).
